After an extensive career as fashion designer in the textile industry, Patricia Lagesse decides to launch her own brand. The designer dreams of a new concept and aims at creating exclusive, innovative and quality women's wear. TAF'TA is born in the early 90's.
Sumptuous fabrics, impeccable finish as well as a line perfectly adapted to a glamorous and modern look are all distinctive signs of her brand. Colorful and eye-catching, the elegant collections have a mix and match concept. Through her brand, the designer wants to enhance femininity "it is my grand-mother and my mother who transmitted me the love of beautiful things…" she says.
Born and bred in Mauritius, Patricia Lagesse has French origins: her ancestors were French navigators who settled on the island decades ago. The designer is very attracted to India, and goes there regularly to choose her own fabrics. All the vibrant colors and the silky materials that she chooses and mixes together remind us of the colorful Indian spices. Her line is often inspired by these beautiful Indian outfits but is very contemporary and fashionable. Taf'ta offers an exclusive and extensive range of the very best ranging from simple linen outfits and cocktail dresses to ornate bustiers and elaborate and complex evening dresses. Silk, brocades, muslin, georgettes, linen, lace together with embroideries and stones inlays make her new 2007 designs even more attractive. Taf'ta owes its success to the constant search of the designer for beautiful and exclusive fabrics together with a modern and feminine style. Mauritius being a well known wedding destination, TAF'TA offers a special line of made to order wedding dresses for those who wish to celebrate this memorable event in an original way.
